Summary
Die vorliegende Studie zu Existenzgründungen in der Öko-Branche analysiert die Gründungsinitiativen von Absolventen der ökologischen Agrarwissenschaften am Beispiel Universität Kassel. Es wurden 10 Leitfadeninterviews mit GründerInnen und Unterstützern durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine Vielzahl an Motivationen zur Gründung sowie eine relevante Abhängigkeit der Wege zur Gründung vom Gründungsumfeld. Es konnten Hemmnisse einerseits sowie Elemente einer effizienten Gründungsunterstützung andererseits identifiziert werden.
Summary translation
This empirical study analyzed the entrepreneurial efforts and motivation of organic agricultural scientists from the University of Kassel. 10 interviews with start-ups and facilitators were conducted. Our study showed that start-ups were inspired and supported through various factors at the university, which they actively used to develop their own entrepreneurial ideas. Start-up teams used several financial strategies with a tendency to having slow growth rates and needing relatively little financial aid. Moreover, market entry with new technical products for farmers and agribusiness needed greater efforts than that for food products.
