Summary
O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os impactos sócio-econômicos do manejo agroecológico da caatinga, em unidades de produção familiar no Rio Grande do Norte, pelo método Ambitec desenvolvido pela Embrapa Meio Ambiente. Foram avaliadas sete unidades de produção familiar, em quatro projetos de assentamento de reforma agrária do Município de Apodi, RN. Os dados foram obtidos por questionários aplicados aos representantes das unidades familiares, que atribuíram a cada variável um valor que representou a alteração proporcionada pela implementação da tecnologia. Após a inserção dos coeficientes de alteração de cada variável, por unidade de produção, o coeficiente de impacto foi automaticamente calculado por meio da planilha Ambitec. Para os cálculos econômicos foi considerada também a parcela da produção destinada ao autoconsumo. O ganho médio na receita foi de R$ 475,32/ha devido à diversificação das atividades pecuárias, sobretudo a ovinocultura e a apicultura, com incremento na receita de 330%. O índice médio de impacto social foi de 5,23, sendo a “Geração de renda do estabelecimento” (12,68), a “Segurança alimentar” (11,86), o “Valor da propriedade” (9,21), a “Dedicação e o perfil do responsável” (8,54), além da “Saúde ambiental e pessoal” (8,14), os indicadores que mais contribuíram para o índice.
Summary translation
The objective of this work was to evaluate the socio-economical impacts of the agroecological handling of the caatinga, in family farms, in Rio Grande do Norte, using the Ambitec method developed by Embrapa Meio Ambiente. Seven family farms were evaluated within four agrarian reform projects in the county of Apodi, RN, Brazil. The data for surveying were obtained by applying questionnaires to the persons responsible for the farms, which attributed -a value representing the changes resulting from technology implementation for each variable. After insertion of the alteration coefficient for each indicator fin each farm, the impact coefficient was automatically calculated by the Ambitec sheet. For the economic calculations, besides the sales and expenses, the production destined to family consumption was considered. The average profit was of R$ 475.32/ha due to the diversification of animal husbandry, especially sheep breeding and beekeeping, with an increase of 330% in the overall revenue. The average social impact index was 5.23, with “I income of the establishment” (12.68), “Food security” (11.86), “Property value” (9.21), “Devotion and profile of the person responsible” (8.54), and Environment and personal welfare” (8.14), being the parameters having the highest contribution.
