V České republice se ekologické zemědělství (EZ) často spojuje s představou prvorepublikového hospodaření „našich prababiček“, v lepším případě se pak považuje za marginální formu hospodaření, vhodnou pro zajištění údržby travních porostů v horských a podhorských oblastech. Ve většině vyspělých zemí ovšem ekologické zemědělství působí jako inovační lídr v oblasti moderního udržitelného hospodaření. Z výsledků původně ekozemědělsky zaměřených výzkumů těží dnes už řada běžně rozšířených agrotechnik a postupů i v jiných zemědělských systémech.
Summary translation
Organic farming (OF) is often associated with the idea of the First Republic's management of "our grandmothers" in the Czech republic, in a better case is then considered as a marginal form of farming, suitable for ensuring the maintenance of grassland in mountain and foothill areas. However, organic farming operates as an innovative leader in the field of modern sustainable farming in most developed countries. From the results of initial eco-oriented agricultural researches nowadays benefit a number of widely accepted agriculture engineering and practices in other agricultural systems.
