Objetivou-se avaliar a eficiência dos extratos frescos (24 horas após a maceração) e curtidos (35 dias depois) de dois genótipos de Agave (Agave sisalana Perrine) no controle do ácaro rajado Tetranychus urticae (Koch) (Tetranychidae) do algodoeiro (Gossypium hirsutum L. r latifolium Hutch) e os efeitos de fitotoxidez dessas aplicações. Os tratamentos foram: plantas não tratadas; extrato fresco de Agave sisalana; extrato fresco do híbrido 11648; extrato curtido de A. sisalana; e, extrato curtido do híbrido 11648. Avaliou-se a eficiência dos extratos de Agave sobre ácaro rajado e Iphiseiodes SP (Phytoseiidae), o percentual de plantas afetadas e a intensidade dos sintomas de fitotoxidez em plantas de algodoeiro aos 10, 35 e 65 dias após a germinação, utilizou-se o Delineamento Inteiramente Casualizado (DIC) com cinco repetições para as avaliações de fitotoxidez e 10 repetições para a eficiência. Observou-se diminuição do número de ácaros vivos com as aplicações dos extratos de Agave, a eficiência do extrato curtido do hibrido foi de 100%, o percentual de plantas afetadas foi de 100% quando pulverizadas nas duas faces da folha e a intensidade da fitotoxidez foi de muito leve a leve aos 10 e 35 dias e forte aos 65 dias após a germinação.


Summary translation

It was aimed to evaluate the efficiency of fresh extracts (24 hours after maceration) and tanned (after 35 days) of two genotypes of Agave (Agave sisalana Perrine) in the control of Tetranychus urticae (Koch) (Tetranychidae) in plants cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. r latifolium Hutch) and the effects of phytotoxicity of these applications. The treatments were: untreated plants, fresh extract of Agave sisalana; fresh extract of hybrid 11648; tanned extract of A. sisalana and; tanned extract of hybrid 11648. It was evaluated the efficiency of Agave´s extracts on striped mite and Iphiseiodes sp. (Phytoseiidae), the percentage of affected plants and the intensity of the symptons of phytotoxicity in cotton plants in the 10, 35 and 65 days after germination, it was used Completely Randomized Delimitation with five repetitions for evaluations of phytotoxicity and 10 repetitions for efficiency. It was observed reduction of the number of alives mites with the applications of the Agave´s extracts, the efficiency of hybrid´s tanned extract was 100%, the percentage of affected plants was 100% when it was sprayed on both sides of the sheet and the intensity of phytotoxicity was from very weak to weak in the 10 and 35 days and strong in the 65 days after the germination.
