Este artigo é parte integrante de uma pesquisa empírica que teve como objetivo a caracterização e análise das condições de vida e da qualidade do saneamento ambiental no assentamento Horto Florestal Loreto, SP, com o intuito de gerar informações e conhecimentos sobre determinantes das potencialidades e dos dilemas para o desenvolvimento de práticas agroecológicas na área.

This article is integrant part of an empirical research that had as objective the characterization and analysis of the conditions of life and the quality of the ambient sanitation in the Horto Florestal Loreto rural settlement, SP, with intention to know the potentialities and the dilemmas for the development of practical agroecologyc in the area.
