Publikace shrnuje začátky ekologického zemědělství v České republice se zaměřením na založení svazu PRO-BIO. Kniha se skládá ze dvou částí. První obsahuje vzpomínky zakladatelů ekologického zemědělství po roce 1989 a kopie dobových dokumentů, např. článků novin a časopisů. Druhá část přináší portréty ekologických zemědělců, pracovníků Ministerstva zemědělství, kontrolních organizací a projevy kolegů z Maďarska, Rakouska, Německa, Švýcarska a EU na konferenci, která se konala v Luhačovicích v únoru 2000.
Summary translation
Decennium was published by the Czech Union of ecological farmers PRO-BIO Sumperk on the occasion of its tenth anniversary. The book is divided into two parts. The first part contains the memoirs of people who initiated ecological farming in Czechoslovakia before and after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. Many facts, today often forgotten, are recalled and numerous documents and photographs are included. With a certain detachment, the authors bring an interesting memories of how the first ecological farms operated despite on the aversion of the communist regime. The proceedings of the IFOAM conference in Velká Bystřice near Olomouc in 1990, the appointing of the first ministerial section head for ecological farming in the world, market in organic food are also dealt with.
The second part of the book presents the papers given by farmers and workers of the PRO-BIO Association, of the Ministry of Agriculture from Prague, of the KEZ Inspection Authority, as well as by guests from Hungary, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the European Union at the convention held in Luhačovice in February 2000.
