Summary
A presente dissertação discute os limites e as possibilidades do ensino em Agroecologia no Curso Técnico Agrícola de uma escola agrotécnica federal em Santa Catarina. Observou-se que a discussão e a reflexão sobre Agroecologia vêm trazendo para o ensino agrícola a crítica ao comprometimento deste com os projetos de desenvolvimento econômico do país e uma preocupação com o atendimento à realidade do pequeno agricultor, propondo uma visão mais ampla para a agricultura. Esta discussão influenciou o surgimento de um discurso com vocabulário crítico, que está presente nas mudanças propostas para a construção do currículo do ensino técnico agrícola. Este ·discurso define diferentes operacionalizações para a Agroecologia, visto que estas operacionalizações resultam de diferentes concepções de Agroecologia Considerando que o currículo vai além da simples inserção de disciplinas, buscou-se entender o seu desenvolvimento a partir dos trabalhos propostos, da organização curricular, da estrutura fisica da escola e do desenvolvimento das aulas. Desta maneira buscou-se apresentar como se inseriu e como tem sido operacionalizada a Agroecologia no currículo. Apesar de ter verificado importantes possibilidades para o desenvolvimento da Agroecologia como proposta para o ensino técnico agrícola voltado aos interesses do pequeno agricultor, ainda se observam alguns limites. Estes limites se traduzem na constatação de que a inserção da Agroecologia foi feita com o objetivo de satisfazer um interesse imediato da escola, ao invés de uma reflexão feita sobre sua concepção. Observou-se que há diferentes concepções de Agroecologia entre professores, técnicos, funcionários e alunos, o que se reflete na dificuldade de operacionalizá-la. Percebeu-se, no entanto, que predomina a concepção que enfatiza a dimensão técnica! ambiental da Agroecologia, fazendo-se reproduzir "velhos" modelos pedagógicos que dão ênfase ao conhecimento técnico na agricultura. O último limite verificado foi a política educacional que se desenvolve atualmente. Esta política não abrange a preocupação com as reais necessidades do ensino agrícola destinado aos pequenos agricultores. Desta maneira, o discurso que levanta a possibilidade de se obter um ensino afinado às idéias da Agroecologia, no qual se obtém uma visão mais ampla da agricultura, traduz-se em um enSInO que reproduz a "velha" ênfase nas práticas, sem o aprofundamento teórico necessário para a construção desta visão mais ampla da Agroecologia.
Summary translation
The present study argues the Iimits and the possibilities in tbe Agricultural Technician Course's education in Agroecology. This is aplicated in a Federal Agricultural Technician School, placed in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was observed that the discussion and the reflection about Agroecology ha ve brought the criticai of engagement in agricultural education with the projects ofthe Country economic development Since the implementation ofthe Agroecology, it has proposed a wider vision of agriculture and it has constructed a curriclI/lIm that presents disciplines closer tbe farmer' s reality. This discussion has influenced the utilization of the criticai vocabulary that involves Agroecology. This speech is present in many changes proposed for the construction of the curricu/um and has defined different Agroecology operacionalizations since these resuIt of different conceptions of Agroecologia. Considering that in the present study the cllrricll/lIm goes over a simple disciplines insertion, it's necessary to understand its development from the projects, curriculum organization, school physical structure and the classes development Then, the present study shows the Agroecology insertion and how it has been operationalizated in tbe curricu/um, In spite of the observation of some important possibilities for the Agroecology development as a proposal for agricultural technician education directed to the interests of the smaIl farmers, some limits for this development had still been observed. These limits are present in the affirmation that the Agroecology insertion was made with the objective to satisfy a school immediate interest instead of a reflection about it There are different conceptions of Agroecology between tbe teachers, technicians, employees and students. This is a difficulty to operacionalize Agroecology. However, the predominated conception was the technical/ambiental Agroecology dimension, becomíng to reproduce "old" pedagogical models that give emphasis to the agriculture technical knowledge. The last limit verified was the current1y educational politics. The educational politics are not including the concem with the real necessities of the agricultural education destined to tbe smaIl farmers. In tbis way, the Agroecology speech translate the "old" practical emphasis without the necessary theoretical deeptb for the construction of the wider vision of Agroecology
