Summary
Das dritte Projektjahr „Mit Vielfalt punkten“ stand vor allem im Zeichen der Datenaufbereitung und Auswertung. Zwei Publikationen zu den Auswirkungen der gesamtbetrieblichen Beratung und zum Thema Motivation und Beweggründe der Landwirte sind im Druck respektive werden demnächst eingereicht.
Erste Auswertungen zur Validierung des Punktesystems zeigen, dass ein Zusammenhang zwischen Punkten und Biodiversität auf dem Betrieb besteht. Im Bereich Öffentlichkeitsarbeit war die Presseorientierung am 19. Mai ein viel beachteter Meilenstein. Das Projekt bekommt zunehmend eine Breitenwirkung auf nationalem Niveau, so dass die beiden beteiligten Landwirtschaftsverbände Bio Suisse und IP-Suisse gewillt sind, die Biodiversität noch stärker mit konkreten Vorgaben (Richtlinien und Weisungen) und Anreizen zu fördern. Diese Aktivitäten werden auch in der Öffentlichkeit wahrgenommen und durch PR-Massnahmen von Migros und Coop verstärkt.
Summary translation
The third year of the project „Scoring with diversity“ was dominated by data management and analysis. A first publication on the effects of whole-farm advisory on quality and quantity of ecological compensation areas has been published and a second one on farmers’ motivation to implement ecological compensation measures is in print, both in Agrarforschung Schweiz. The first analyses to validate our point system show a correlation between a farm’s point score and biodiversity. On May 19th, a well-attended press event was held on one of the participating farms. The project is developing increasing impact on a national scale. The two involved farmer organisations Bio Suisse and IP-Suisse, representing some 40% of Swiss farmers, are promoting biodiversity by requiring implementation of specific measures that benefit biodiversity from their members. The public perception of these activities is enhanced by public relations initiatives of Migros and Coop, the two dominant retailers in Switzerland.
