Multifunktionalitet med positive effekter på natur og samfund er et centralt element i økologisk jordbrug, og høj biodiversitet er afgørende herfor. Græsmarker har det største potentiale for at yde denne service, men økologiske græsmarker er store og biodiversiteten på dyrkningsfladen er lav.
