Følfod er en meget konkurrencedygtig ukrudtsart, som vil kunne reducere udbyttet i en hvilken som helst afgrøde, hvor den optræder. Da den som oftest mest forekommer i mindre pletter på marken, er det naturligvis kun i pletterne, at den reducerer udbyttet.
