Summary
In het project “Nut en Natuur Overijssel” zijn in opdracht van de provincie Overijssel innovatieve samenwerkingsverbanden opgezet tussen natuurbeherende organisaties en boeren om de groene grondstoffen uit natuurgebieden te waarborgen. In drie samenwerkingsverbanden is gezocht naar nieuwe vormen van natuurbeheer door boeren, zoals aangepaste voerwinning van schrale natuurgraslanden en -akkers en de verwerking van reststromen uit bijvoorbeeld rietlanden en heide.
Summary translation
This is the activity report of the project "Nut en Natuur Overijssel" that was carried out in and funded by the Overijssel province in the Netherlands. During the project, 3 collaborations between dairy farmers and managers of nature reserves have been set up and followed in three contrasting landscapes. A particular focus was on using materials from nature reserves in agriculture, thereby closing the nutrient cycle between agriculture and nature. Agricultural value of the exchanged products and services have been analysed and evaluated. Exchanged products and services were: management of nature reserves by farmers, manure for grasslands and arable fields with botanical value, animal feed, composts and straw for bedding.
