Summary

This conference represents a continuation of previous meetings and is intended to bring together active researchers and advisers involved in organic fruit growing to discuss latest results and methods. The main object is the coordination of research and to organize joint research projects. The official language of the workshop is English. Contributions are possible in English and German. Oral presentations will be simultaneously translated to English.

Summary translation

Die Tagung ecofruit ist eine internationale Wissenschaftstagung zum ökologischen Obstbau. Veranstaltet wird sie von der Fördergemeinschaft Ökologischer Obstbau e.V. und von der Staatlichen Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Wein- und Obstbau Weinsberg. Die Tagung findet alle zwei Jahre statt und richtet sich an Versuchsansteller des ökologischen Obst- und Weinbaus.
Im Februar 2002 fand die Tagung erstmals in den Sprachen Deutsch und Englisch mit entsprechender Simultanübersetzung statt. Teilgenommen haben ca. 100 Versuchsansteller aus 13 Ländern, um sich während dreier Tage über die neuesten Forschungsergebnisse des ökologischen Obstbaus auszutauschen.
