Summary
Many of us buy organic milk and other produce simply through a gut feeling that “it is better for you”. We base our feeling on little more than prejudice. But it is a widespread prejudice: demand for organic milk grew by 40 million litres last year. Are there any grounds for that prejudice? And what does “better for you” mean? Gillian Butler has the evidence.
