Økologiske gulrøtter dyrkes uten lettløselig kunstgjødsel og kjemisk-syntetiske sprøytemidler. De gjødsles med kompost, husdyrgjødsel og grønngjødsel. Forebyggende tiltak og fiberduk over plantene brukes for å unngå skade av sykdommer, skadedyr og ugras.
