tool_solution: In open beneficial insect rearing, cereal aphids, which serve as food for the beneficial insects, are propagated on cereals in the plant. The beneficial insects are then released and are expected to multiply in the orchard early in the season. The following beneficials have proved effective in controlling aphids in stone fruit orchards: hoverflies, ladybirds and parasitic wasps.
