The most important single design parameter controlling retention effectiviness of a CW is its area in relation to the catchment area. Input concentrations, catchment properties(soil type!), hydraulic efficiency and CW soil properties also have a significant influence on the effectiviness. date: 2005 date_type: published publication: Proceedings from NJF seminar no. 374 publisher: Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists full_text_status: public pagerange: 70-72 fp7_project: no access_rights: info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess citation: Koskiaho, Jari (2005) Use of wetlands, ponds and buffer zones in Finland.
