Qualität von Eigenmischungen in der Schweinefütterung – Eignet sich die Nahinfrarotspektroskopie zur Bewertung?

Since pigs in organic farming are often fed with mixed feed made of self-cultivated crops, the correspondence of a calculated diet to the actual feedstuff was studied. For
this purpose, 30 mixed pig feedstuffs of one organic farm were analyzed for crude nutrients, energy and selected amino acids. Their ingredients were compared to targeted values of ration formulation. The results showed deviations between
calculated rations and mixed feedstuffs. In 50 % of the feedstuffs the content of at least one crude nutrient was higher or lower than acceptable (BMEL 2012). Analyses
are therefore necessary to produce adequate mixed weedstuffs. In consequence, it was tested if NIRS can be used for quick and low-priced analysis to predict the
contents of crude nutrients and energy in mixed feedstuffs. The calibration provides promising results and suggests that NIRS could be useful for future examinations.
