Summary
Ziel des Projektes ist es, www.bioC.info zu einem vollständigen Verzeichnis der kontrollierten Unternehmen des Ökologischen Landbaus in Deutschland weiterzuentwickeln. Mit der Einbindung der Verzeichnisse von Kontrollstellen, die ihre Daten bisher nicht über bioC veröffentlichen, soll eine zentrale Recherchemöglichkeit
nach öko-zertifizierten Unternehmen in Deutschland geschaffen werden. Für Verbraucher wird dadurch die
Suche nach zertifizierten Unternehmen des Ökologischen Landbaus erleichtert. Kontrollstellen ebenso wie Handels- und Verarbeitungsunternehmen erhalten einen zentralen und einfachen Zugang zu Informationen darüber, ob ein Lieferant aktuell dem Öko-Kontrollverfahren untersteht und berechtigt ist, Produkte mit Hinweisen auf den Ökologischen Landbau in Verkehr zu bringen. Damit leistet ein solches Verzeichnis einen Beitrag dazu, die bestehenden Kontroll- und Zertifizierungsverfahren des Ökologischen Landbaus sowie die Qualitätssicherungssysteme von Unternehmen der Ökobranche effektiver und sicherer zu machen.
Die Kernfunktionalität von bioC steht allen Besuchern der Internetplattform unentgeltlich zur Verfügung. Daher ist
die Benutzung der Suchfunktion bis hin zum Abruf von Artikel 29-Bescheinigungen für alle Nutzer frei. Die
entwickelten Konzepte und die technische Umsetzung werden dokumentiert und den Kontrollstellen zur Verfügung gestellt. Dem Zuwendungsgeber wird ein Abschlussbericht zur Verfügung gestellt und in geeigneter Form auf orgprints.org veröffentlicht.

Summary translation
The aim of this project is to enhance www.bioC.info to a complete register of all controlled organic operators in Germany. Some inspection bodies did not publish
their data on bioC so far. Through integration of their registers a central research possibility towards organic operators in Germany should be generated. Thereby the
search of certified organic operators will be facilitated for consumers. Inspection bodies as well as commercial and processing enterprises receive a central and easy
access to data according suppliers. These information include whether a supplier is at present subordinate to the organic inspection procedure and entitled to market
products with reference to organic farming. For this reason such a register contributes to do the existing inspection and certification procedure for organic food as well as the quality assurance system of companies of the organic branch more effective and safer.
Within the framework of a status quo census, it will be determined in which form the relevant data of the inspection bodies are available. According to this, two different models for data retrieval will be developed in cooperation with the inspection bodies: directly in the database of the inspection body or through the website of the inspection body. In line with a workshop, the concepts will be discussed and adapted with the inspection bodies.
The core functionality of bioC is free of charge available for all visitors of the Internet
platform. The use of the search function is therefore free for all users up to the call-off order of article 29-Certification. The developed concepts and technical conversion will be documented and placed at the disposal of the inspection bodies. A final report is provided to the payment donor and published in an adequate form on
orgprints.org.
