Summary
To reduce the amount of anthelmintics, to postpone the spread of anthelmintic resistance and to support the development of acquired immunity an interactive decision tree was developed for prevention and control of gastrointestinal nematodes of young cattle in Northern Germany. This decision tree could be a useful tool for the farmers to optimize their grazing management in dependence on the life cycles and epidemiology of the nematodes and to use drugs only when it is necessary.
