Therefore, it cannot be taken for granted that all methods of biological control are acceptable or even a first choice in organic farming. In this chapter, we explore the attitude of organic farming towards methods of biological control. Although organic farming has become popular during the last decade, organic farms are still a minority in all countries. Furthermore there is a lack of profound knowledge about the regulatory framework for organic farming (i.e. public regulations and private standards). Therefore, we will firstly give a brief introduction to organic farming. %K organic farming, biological control, IFOAM, EU-?ko-Verordnung, Ektoparasitenkontrolle, Endoparasitenkontrolle, Biocontrol %P 27-46 %E J.
