title: Black spot diseases in carrot creator: Voorrips, Roeland E. creator: Zijlstra, Sierd creator: Köhl, Jürgen creator: Kastelein, Pieter description: An important problem in organic carrot production in the Netherlands is the occurrence of black spots during storage. Several different fungal pathogens cause similar symptoms, which are collectively known as black spot diseases. We identified Alternaria radicina, A. dauci and Rhexocercosporidium carotae (syn. Acrothecium carotae) as the most prevalent black spot pathogens. We developed laboratory test methods for resistance to A. radicina and R. carotae, and assessed resistance in a collection of cultivated varieties and more exotic material. date: 2006 type: Conference paper, poster, etc. type: NonPeerReviewed format: application/pdf identifier: http://orgprints.org/7314/1/Black_spot_diseases_in_carrot.pdf format: other identifier: http://orgprints.org/7314/2/Black_spot_diseases_in_carrot.doc identifier: Voorrips, Roeland E.; Zijlstra, Sierd; Köhl, Jürgen and Kastelein, Pieter (2006) Black spot diseases in carrot.
