Generellt är bruna genotyper som ej näbbtrimmas mer benägna till fjäderplockning och hackning än vita leghornkorsningar. Olika genotyper visade sig från produktionssynpunkt reagera lika på förändringar i fodersammansättning, men olika från djurhälso- och beteendesynpunkt.
