State of the Art:
Organically acceptable seed treatments are partly available, but they need improvements and adjustments for the various vegetable seeds.
Definition of the problem:
Search for methods and products that are compatible with the standards of organic agriculture in order to improve seed health.
Project aims including target group:
Improvements and adjustments for the various vegetable seeds.
For farmers, seed multipliers and breeders.
Methodology:
Literature studies, laboratory experiments, on farm trials
Results, conclusion, state of the art:
Physical seed treatments are most promising, several plant extracts seem to be useful, however, fine tuning of the methods fro various vegetable seeds is necessary.
