Definition of the problem: The European cherry fruit fly is the main pest insect in sweet cherry production. Project aims: Developing strategies to control the cherry fruit fly in organic agriculture in order to advance the sweet cherry production. Methodology: Laboratory and field studies on natural enemies (parasitoids, entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi). Laboratory and field screening of repellents and organic insecticides. Evaluation of traps and lures for mass-trapping. Exclusion of flies with insect-nets. Development of a temperature-based forecasting-model. institution: Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), CH-5070 Frick department: Plant Protection "Pests and Beneficial Insects" citation: {Project} Cherry fruit fly: Entwicklung und Evaluation von Methoden zur Regulierung der Kirschfruchtfliege im biologischen Anbau.
