Nowadays they are under crop rotation of organic dairy farm consisting of 2 year old clover based leys, pulse crops and vetch based green fodder. The soil type is moraine soil and nutrient status is quite diverse. The annual rainfall is about 650 mm, average temperature 3.5°C, growing season 190 days and effective temperature sum 1250°C. There is also a two hectare spatial field, where lots of chemical, physical and biological parameters as well as quality and quantity of clover based ley have been determined in 105 spots.
