Derfor er der gennemført analyser af data fra kvægdatabasen til afklaring af om der er forskel i den indbyrdes rangering af avlsværdi for mælkeydelse, sundhed og reproduktion afhængig af om køerne står i økologiske eller konventionelle besætninger. Undersøgelsen viste ingen forskel i rangering af avlstyrene afhængig af produktionssystem, men det kan ikke udelukkes at en yderlig forskel i fodring mv. mellem de to systemer vil ændre på resultatet.
