title: final register SOLID FERMENTED MATERIAL (BOKASHI) AS A BIOFERTILIZER FOR POTTING MEDIA USING EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISMS (EM) creator: Jenkins, Tim A. creator: Daly, Mike subject: Vegetables description: Adding a solid fermentation product (bokashi) to potting media enhanced the growth of vegetable seedlings when the microbial inoculant Effective Micororganisms (EM) was used. There was a negative response to the inclusion of bokashi made without EM. The benefit to seedling growth from EM bokashi also improved crop performance post-transplanting. Effect on seedlings was further enhanced by the inclusion of fishmeal and, to a lesser extent, by adding trace elements in the bokashi fermentation. Addition of seaweed extract gave no apparent advantage. date: 2005 type: Conference paper, poster, etc. type: NonPeerReviewed format: source identifier: http://orgprints.org/4380/4/Jenkins_Daly_2005_4p_revised-ed.doc identifier: Jenkins, Tim A. and Daly, Mike (2005) final register SOLID FERMENTED MATERIAL (BOKASHI) AS A BIOFERTILIZER FOR POTTING MEDIA USING EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISMS (EM).
