research group developing the waste management model EASTWASTE at Dept. of Environment and Resources, DTU. The project employs the agroecosystem model, Dasiy, to simulate leaching of nitrogen, denitrification and carbon storage caused by application of compost made from municipal solid waste and the residue after anaerobic digestion biogasification) of municipal solid waste. These simulations will be used to estimate coefficients to be used for the description of these processes in the EASTWASTE model. The report describes the procedures applied in the setup of the Dasiy model, the scenarios to be simulated and the results of these simulations. </mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Nutrient turnover</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Soil</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Production systems</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Farming Systems</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Recycling, balancing and resource management</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Air and water emissions</mods:classification><mods:classification authority="lcc"> Composting and manuring</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2004-08</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Report</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_oai:orgprints.org:3352"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_oai:orgprints.org:3352_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="mods"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
