Die Forschungsbereiche Konstitution und Bestandsbetreuung leisten einen Beitrag Zusammenhänge zwischen Lebensumfeld, Konstitution und Gesundheit zu erkennen um daraus präventive Strategien für die Gesunderhaltung der Nutztiere nicht nur im biologischen Landbau abzuleiten. Dennoch werden sich Nutztierkrankheiten nicht vollständig vermeiden lassen. Die Forschungsbereiche Grundlagen der Homoöpathie, Wirksamkeit der Misteltherapie und der homoöpathischen Mastitistherapie zeigen Möglichkeiten und Grenzen komplementärer Therapieverfahren auf. Ziel der Forschung am FiBL ist es, die Tiergesundheit auf allen Ebenen zu durchleuchten um ganzheitliche Konzepte für die Tiergesundheitssicherung als Basis einer hohen Erzeugungs- und Erzeugnisqualität zu entwickeln, nicht nur für den biologischen Landbau.
