Der Markt für ökologische Aquakulturerzeugnisse aus deutscher Erzeugung ist überschaubar, mittelfristig aber sehr stark expansionsfähig. Über die Teilnehmer dieses noch jungen Marktes ist wenig bekannt. Ziel des Projektes ist es daher, eine Markttransparenz für die ökologische Aquakultur zu schaffen. Desweiteren soll eine umfangreiche Marktanalyse entlang der gesamten Versorgungskette vom Futtermittelproduzenten über die Erzeuger und die Verarbeiter sowie dem Handel die Grundlage für eine valide Beurteilung der Marktsituation auf den einzelnen Marktstufen ermöglichen. Das Projekt soll allen Marktbeteiligten Informationen zur Verfügung stellen, die eine gezielte Planung von Produktion bzw. Einkauf und Absatz erleichtern.
