title: QLIF Workshop 1: Product quality in organic and low input farming systems. creator: Lueck, Lorna creator: Brandt, Kirsten creator: Seal, Chris creator: Rembialkovska, Ewa creator: Huber, Machtheld creator: Butler, Gillian creator: Bennett, Richard creator: Oughton, Liz creator: Nicholas, Philipa creator: Kretzschmar, Ursula creator: Sundrum, Albert creator: Leifert, Carlo subject: Food security, food quality and human health description: QLIF researchers have quantified effects on food quality and health of products such as wheat, forage, apples, milk and meat. The workshop identifies factors which cause variation of the product quality for different commodities. Experimental findings on quality of organic and low input foods will be compared with consumer expectations and attitudes. For selected quality improving measures their economic impact will be analysed. Furthermore, the role of processing in maintaining or improving specific ‘organic’ qualities will be examined. date: 2008 type: Conference paper, poster, etc. type: NonPeerReviewed format: rtf identifier: http://orgprints.org/13376/1/qlif-workshop1-4p-lueck-etal-2008-foodquality%5B1%5D.doc format: rtf identifier: http://orgprints.org/13376/2/qlif-workshop1-abstract-lueck-etal-2008-foodquality%5B1%5D.doc identifier: Lueck, Lorna; Brandt, Kirsten; Seal, Chris; Rembialkovska, Ewa; Huber, Machtheld; Butler, Gillian; Bennett, Richard; Oughton, Liz; Nicholas, Philipa; Kretzschmar, Ursula; Sundrum, Albert and Leifert, Carlo (2008) QLIF Workshop 1: Product quality in organic and low input farming systems. 4th QLIF Congress in the Frame of the 2nd ISOFAR Conference, Modena, Italy, June 18-20, 2008.
