Der europäische Aktionsplan für Bio-Landbau und -Lebensmittel spricht die Notwendigkeit bessere Marktinformationen an. Empfehlungen, wie die Sammlung und die Aufbereitung von Daten optimiert werden können, sind jetzt vom EU-Projekt EISfOM (European Information System for Organic Markets/ Europäisches Informationssystem für Biomärkte) veröffentlicht worden.
