Summary

Vi har planerat en fältstudie av hur hönsens nyttjande av sin rastgård i tid och rum påverkar graden av spolmaskinfektion i besättningen. Tjugo vidtalade lantbrukare med 800-10 000 höns vill utveckla utevistelsen för sina höns och ytan som de vistas på. Lantbrukarna tar prover för parasitanalys dels i gödselbädden, dels på det ställe i rastgården där hönsen vistas mest, samt på verandan där sådan finns. Fynden av ägg i proverna ställs mot information om stallets och rastgårdens utformning och användning. Information om detta inhämtas genom dokumentation gjord av de sökande och av lantbrukarna samt genom en intervju på varje gård.

Additional Summary

We have planned for a field study about how layers use their outdoor run in time and space and how that influences the degree of helminth infection (Ascaridia galli) in the herd. Twenty farmers with 800-10 000 hens want to improve the outdoor life for their hens and the land they use. The farmers take samples of the indoor floor bed, the veranda floor if there is such, and soil samples from frequently used surfaces outdoor. The finding of eggs is assessed in relation to information about the use and design of the hen building and outdoor run. That information is taken in by visits and interviews at each farm.
