Summary

Organic unit comprises 36 ha managed organically since spring 2002. Carries self contained Aberdeen Angus suckler to beef herd, self contained Lleyn sheep flock, growing sufficient cereals to support the livestock and managed to be as sustainable as possible.
Technology transfer work also carried out on NI organic farms. DARDNI also coud provide plots for herbage and arable production research and for dairy cattle, beef, sheep and goats and a climate chamber.
