Summary

Part 1. The purpose of this experiment is to study the effects of organic wheat-common vetch whole-crop silage on the performance and carcass and meat quality of Hereford beef heifers. Four treatments in a 2 × 2 factorial arranged design consist of the two type of silages (organic grass silage vs. organic wheat-common vetch whole-crop silage) and two levels of concentrates (0 vs. 2.0 - 1.0 kg DM/day/heifer).
