Summary

State of the Art:
For many serious pest insects no viable control strategies are available in organic fruit growing:
Leaf curling plum aphid (Brachycaudus helichrysi); Black cherry aphid (Myzus cerasi);
Plum fruit moth (Grapholitha funebrana), Cherry fruit moth (Argyresthia pruniella)
Winter moth (Operophthera brumata), Apple blossom weevil (Anthonomus pomorum)
Rosy apple aphid (Dysaphis plantaginea), Woolly apple aphid (Eriosoma lanigerum)
Pear sucker (Cacopsylla pyri), Pear leaf blister mite (Eriophyes pyri)
Project aims:
Developing new strategies to control the main pest insects in organic fruit growing.
Methodology:
On-farm field trials to evaluate new pest management strategies. Screening of biological insecticides.
