Summary
The unit consists of four farming systems:
- Bio-dynamic system with arable crops and field vegetables representing the organic farms in the northern and central clay areas of The Netherlands (22 ha)
- Bio-intensive system with field vegetables, representing the smaller organic farms (12 ha)
- Bio-diverse system with optimal use of biodiversity to control diseases and plagues. (12 ha)
- Integrated system with arable crops representing the conventional farms in the northern and central clay areas (24 ha)
