Summary

In order to secure the quality of organic agriculture and its products, there is a demand for alternative research approaches that are presently the subject of lively discussions. One of these approaches is called "the phenomenology of nature". From a methodological point of view and compared with quantifying approaches, the aspects of a nature-phenomenological approach, its scientific value and the use of the concept goetheanism are discussed. The phenomenology of nature approach can be linked to the quantifying natural sciences and employed in connection with them.
