Summary

The botanical compositions of clover-grass mixtures have been investigated between 2002 and 2004. In total 1267 estimations were made. When the mixture was undersown in cover crops, red clover often dominated. On the other hand, when seeds were sown after cereal harvest grasses, especially Italian ryegrass or perennial ryegrass, dominated. When sown too late, especially white clover and meadow fescue did not show enough winterhardiness.
