Summary

Summary translation

The objective of this study was to evaluate in the field, the losses of soil and water erosion of an Ultisol using simulated rainfall and different densities of vegetation. The study was conducted at the experimental company of Mato Grosso Research, Assistance and Rural Extension-EMPAER. The treatment shad amounts of vegetation, from at all grass straw, 0, 2 and 4 t ha-1. The losses were quantified for 90 minutes of rain, with an intensity of 100 mm h-1. Treatment without vegetation cover had higher rates of soil detachment when compared to treatment with 2 and 4 t ha-1. The use of vegetation cover reduced the rate of breakdown of the soil, however no influence on water los sand rate of water infiltration to the soil.
