Summary

The aquaculture industry is growing rapidly putting more attention towards fish welfare. The importance of nutrition in maintaining the health of the fish has led to a growing interest towards dietary supplements such as probiotics. In this study a real-time qPCR was used for detection of Pediococcus acidilactici MA 18/5M (Bactocell) from the intestine of rainbow trout fed supplemented diets.
