Summary

Summary translation

The FAL has developed noteworthy competence in the area of organic farming. Much of the work is however initiated and funded by third parties. This means that the competencies developed will possibly not be available on a permanent basis, but only for the duration of projects. Overall, the contributions and the discussion during the colloquium show little networking of the individual institute projects. The inter- or rather multidisciplinary research between institutes can be improved. The cooperation between the Institute of Organic Farming (OEL) and the other institutes is already well developed, but could be intensified.
The Institute of Organic Farming has established a broad network in organic farming. In Trenthorst (Northern Germany) there is a recognised organic experimental farm with extensive land areas and animal herds (cattle, pigs, sheep, goats). Networks and the experimental farm are essentially available for all other institutes.
