My research focuses on biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in agricultural landscapes. I currently study biological control of pest insects on cereals and rape, especially the role of spatial complexity and scale in influencing food web interactions and dynamics. Further projects deal with biodiversity benefits of organic farming, the ecology of wild plants in crop fields and grassland, and modeling of ecological pattern and process.
