Summary
Das EU-Projekt SoFar (Soziale Landwirtschaft – soziale Leistungen multifunktionaler Höfe) hatte gezeigt, dass sich europaweit ökologisch wirtschaftende Betriebe in besonderem Maße für die Integration von zunächst landwirtschaftsfremden Menschengruppen eignen und vielfach genutzt werden. In Deutschland existiert eine große Vielfalt an Ansätzen und Nutzergruppen. Auf Grundlage des europäischen Forschungsprojekts sucht das aktuelle Projekt „Soziale Landwirtschaft auf Biobetrieben in Deutschland“ nach Strategien zur Förderung Sozialer Landwirtschaft. Motive zur Integration sozialer Zielsetzungen sind meist intrinsisch begründet. Viele Praxisansätze existieren trotz mangelnder Unterstützung. Die Aktivitäten im Rahmen des Projekts (Strategie-Workshop, öffentliche Tagung, Hofbesuche, Interviews mit Repräsentanten des Sozialsektors) zeigen einen großen Bedarf an politischer Unterstützung und Vernetzung. Ideen zur Gründung und Etablierung einer „Deutschen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Soziale Landwirtschaft“ wurden auf der Witzenhäuser Tagung „Praxis und Ziele Sozialer Landwirtschaft in Deutschland“ im Oktober 2009 partizipativ erarbeitet und sollen nach dem Vorbild der europäischen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Faming for Health umgesetzt werden.
Summary translation
Perspectives of social farming on organic farms in Germany: The outcomes of the EU-SoFar project (Social Farming – Social Services in Multifunctional Farms) had revealed that organic farms are specially suited and used to include different users and beneficiaries. A huge diversity of approaches and user groups exists across Germany. Based on the European project the aim of the project “Social Farming on Organic Farms in Germany” has been to develop strategies to support social farming activities. The motive to integrate social activities is mostly driven by intrinsic values. Many approaches exist despite a serious lack of support. The activities within the project (strategic platform, public conference, farm visits, interviews with stakeholders from the social sector) show a demand of political support and networking. Ideas for implementing a “German Community of Practice of Social Farming” were elaborated in a participatory way at the public conference “Practice and Aims of Social Farming in Germany – The Combination of Social Work and Farming as a Challenge” in October 2009 – taking over the approach of the CoP Faming for Health that has existed since 2004 on European level.
