Summary

At the LVWO Weinsberg in 1998 and 1999 different scab-protecting-strategies were tested at the variety Jonagold. Some examinations were done about fruit-setting depending on additives to sulphur like algae, vitamin E or Kaliumpermanganat.
The conditions of the leaves (damage by scab, intensity of chlorophyll) had a great influence on the number of inflorescences in the following spring. Positive effects by Kaliumpermanganat and Vitamin E were found.
In 1999 was the russetting of the fruits higher than in 1998, all combinations with cupper were more strongly russetted than the control, limesulphur was similiar to the control.
